My art intends to create emotional effects and evoke different feelings. Oil painting and the depiction of a single scene are two of the most important elements that help achieve this aspect: A single scene focuses on an emotion that traps the viewer and the intensity of color and texture achieved by the oil painting enhance this emotion.
Human beings and their animal instinct are some of the themes I explore most. Through my compositions, I express the human condition, especially the reaction of individuals in extreme situations where the animal instinct unavoidably appears. The human body represents the container of all different feelings and actions as well as the physical aspect that differentiates humans from animals. This is the reason the human body especially fragmented or metamorphosed is a constant element in my work.
